The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence were observed at the Head Office, Peshawar, with a focused emphasis on Digital Safety and Ending Online Violence. Through awareness messages, short talks, and active staff participation, the initiative highlighted the importance of responsible digital behavior, mutual respect in online spaces, and zero tolerance for cyber harassment.
The observance served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive digital and physical workplace, reaffirming our shared commitment to preventing all forms of Gender-Based Violence.

Khwendo Kor (KK) marked the 16 Days of Activism campaign with a meaningful awareness event at the Khwendo Kor Deen Dunya Office, Mathra. The activity actively engaged children from Deen Dunya Mathra School, emphasizing the importance of early awareness and collective action to prevent Gender-Based Violence (GBV), including digital and online violence.
During the event, the children performed awareness-based activities and short performances highlighting key messages around respect, equality, non-violence, and responsible digital behavior. They also created GBV and digital safety awareness placards, which were later displayed on trees within the premises, symbolizing the growth of awareness, safe online spaces, and positive social change within the community.
The activity concluded on a hopeful and inspiring note, reaffirming Khwendo Kor’s commitment to ending digital violence, promoting child participation, strengthening community-based awareness, and eliminating all forms of Gender-Based Violence, in line with the spirit of the 16 Days of Activism campaign.

Khwendo Kor, under the NCA Project, organized an event to commemorate the global campaign of 16 Days of Activism with a focused theme on ending digital violence against women and girls. The event brought together key stakeholders from government institutions, academia, and civil society to highlight the rising concerns around cyber harassment and the importance of digital safety.
Distinguished guests included Ombudsperson Khyber Pakhtunkhwa H.E. Rubab Mehdi, Principal Advisor Mr. Abbas from the Ombudsperson Office, Member Provincial Assembly Ms. Meher Sultana, Dr Sumayya Ahmad Head of Psychology Department, University of Peshawar, Ms. Shagufta from the Social Welfare Department, and the Head of Department from CECOS University. Their participation enriched the discussion by sharing institutional perspectives, the legal framework, and the need for collective efforts to protect women and girls in digital spaces.
Speakers emphasized the increasing challenges posed by cyberbullying, online harassment, and digital exploitation, and stressed the urgent need for awareness, preventive mechanisms, and strengthened reporting systems. The event also underscored the role of education, community engagement, and improved coordination among relevant departments to ensure safer online environments.
In recognition of their contributions and support, shields were presented to the key stakeholders at the end of the program.

One-Day Capacity building training strengthening men change makers with Increased Social Cohesion

Khwendo Kor Successfully Conducts Capacity Building Session for Men Change Makers under the NCA Project
Khwendo Kor organized a dynamic capacity building session for 55 Men Change Makers from four areas of Peshawar, Nasir Bagh, Badizai, Mathra, and University of Peshawar.
The session aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of key concepts such as positive masculinity, harmful social norms, and different forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Discussions also focused on the critical role of men in creating safer communities, improving effective communication skills, and supporting women and girls facing protection concerns.
Through group work and interactive activities, participants engaged in real-life scenarios, reflected on community challenges, and collectively explored practical solutions.
This initiative reinforces Khwendo Kor’s commitment to promoting social cohesion and empowering men to drive positive change within their communities.

Three-Day Training on Psychosocial First Aid Counseling for Male Government School Teachers, Peshawar

In an effort to strengthen mental health support and wellbeing within educational settings, Khwendo Kor (KK) organized a three-day training on Psychosocial First Aid (PFA) Counseling for 15 government boys school teachers in Peshawar under the NCA Project. The training aimed to enhance the capacity of teachers to provide immediate emotional and psychosocial support to students in distress, in line with the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Guidelines. It also emphasized a survivor-centered approach that empowers students to make informed and independent decisions.
Throughout the three days, teachers participated in engaging and interactive sessions focused on:
• Day 1: Foundations of Psychosocial Support, Stress and Coping, and Introduction to Psychosocial First Aid
• Day 2: Communication and Active Listening, Identifying Needs, and Providing Practical Support
• Day 3: Supporting Volunteers and Staff, Understanding Burnout, and Building Peer Support Networks
The training included group work, role-plays, reflective discussions, and real-life case examples, allowing teachers to practice skills for supporting students affected by trauma, stress, anxiety and mild depression.
This initiative reflects Khwendo Kor’s and NCA’s continued commitment to promoting psychosocial wellbeing, inclusive education, and gender-sensitive responses in schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Three-Day Training on Psychosocial First Aid (PFA) Counseling for Government Girls School Teachers, Peshawar

Five-Day Training on Case Management for Personnel of Women Crisis Center, Social Welfare Department, Peshawar

To strengthen the capacity of frontline responders in providing timely, coordinated, and survivor-centered support to women in crisis, Khwendo Kor (KK) organized a five-day intensive training on Case Management for the personnel of the Women Crisis Center (WCC) at Directorate of Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment, Peshawar under the NCA Project .The training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the case management process, from identification, assessment, and planning to implementation, monitoring, and closure ensuring effective and ethical service delivery for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and other vulnerable groups.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in interactive sessions covering key topics such as:

  • Core concepts and principles of Case Management
  • Survivor-centered and rights-based approaches
  • Risk assessment and safety planning for GBV survivors
  • Confidentiality, informed consent, and ethical decision-making
  • Inter-agency coordination and effective referral mechanisms
  • Documentation and case follow-up procedures

Through role-plays, group discussions, and case simulations, the participants strengthened their practical skills in managing complex cases while ensuring respect, dignity, and empowerment of survivors. This initiative reflects Khwendo Kor’s continued commitment to building institutional capacity, promoting gender equality, and strengthening protection systems to support women and girls in vulnerable situations.

Two day training on Prevention against Cyber and Physical Harassment for Adolescent Boys and Girls

In Pakistan, adolescents are growing up in a rapidly changing digital environment that brings both new opportunities and significant risks. Many young people especially those in underserved areas struggle with challenges such as cyberbullying, online exploitation, and harassment. Cultural barriers and social stigma often make it difficult for them to speak up or seek help.

To address these concerns, Khwendo Kor (KK), under the NCA Project, organized a two-day training on Prvention against cyber and physical harassment for adolescent boys and girls across ten school which include five girls School and five boys School . Through this initiative, Khwendo Kor trained 300 students across ten schools in Peshawar. The training aimed to raise awareness about digital safety, personal boundaries, consent, and respectful behavior, while equipping participants with the skills needed to identify, prevent, and respond to both online and offline harassment.

Through interactive discussions and practical activities, students learned how to navigate the digital world more safely, build self-confidence, and promote mutual respect within their communities. Khwendo Kor will continue to work closely with partners, schools, and communities to strengthen protection mechanisms, enhance digital literacy, and encourage positive behavioral change among youth.

GBV Response and Support Mechanisms One Day Training with District Grievance Redressal Committees, Contractors, E&SS/Gender and Social Specialists ( Batch #02 )

Khwendo Kor on 01-September-2025 successfully conducted second Batch training on GBV Response and Support Mechanisms in Shelton Rezidor Peshawar under the KP-Rural Accessibility Program (KP-RAP). The session brought together members of the District Grievance Redressal Committees, Contractors, Environmental & Social Safeguard (E&SS) Specialists, and Gender & Social Specialists to strengthen their knowledge and capacity in addressing issues related to Gender-Based Violence within the project framework.
During the training, participants were introduced to the different forms of GBV, its impacts on individuals and communities, and the importance of survivor-centered approaches. The discussions focused on reporting pathways, referral mechanisms, and the specific roles and responsibilities of District Grievance Redressal Committees in ensuring timely and sensitive redressal. Contractors and E&SS/Gender Specialists were also engaged on compliance with GBV protocols, creating a safe and respectful work environment, and aligning with Khwendo Kor’s Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy, which reflects the organization’s commitment to zero tolerance towards GBV and SEA.
Through interactive sessions, group work, and case studies, the training provided participants with practical knowledge and tools to deliver effective support and protection to survivors, while also building accountability and trust within communities. This initiative highlights Khwendo Kor’s continued efforts to establish safe spaces and inclusive systems for preventing and responding to GBV under KP-RAP.
