Summary of Khwendo Kor’s Achievements from 1993-2019
In the past 27 years, KK from time to time has worked in various thematic areas. This has largely been dependent on KK’s priorities, donor funding and evolving needs in local contexts. KK began with a village-based approach in three villages in Peshawar and steadily expanded its operations to 490 villages throughout KP, including the Newly Merged Districts. The village-based approach evolved by implementing integrated activities to become the ‘Viable Village’ approach, which is sustainable. KK also engaged in project specific approaches. These meant that educational activities were implemented in multiple villages of a district, there were health activities in an entirely different geographic area following different requirements there, and whenever humanitarian assistance was required, KK provided that under its Humanitarian Response Program.
The following section summarizes KK’s overall achievements since 1993. Information and data for this are taken from the baseline for the development of Management Information System/Enterprise Resource Planning.
